Her journey began with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Crete, a scientific foundation that later fueled her passion for high-tech fashion and sustainability. Seeking to merge scientific precision with artistic creativity, she pursued studies in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion, two of the world’s most prestigious institutions. To complement her entrepreneurial vision, she later earned an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, equipping her with the strategic expertise to lead transformative projects at the intersection of fashion, business, and technology.
Maria is the founder and CEO of AthensFashionClub Group, a multifaceted ecosystem of education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable fashion. Her group includes the AthensFashionClub School of Fashion, which cultivates the next generation of designers; the Fashion Gate Incubator & Accelerator, which nurtures fashion startups; and two sustainable fashion brands, MV Conscious Brand and Mad Flax, dedicated to ethical and innovative fashion production. Through these ventures, she has revolutionized fashion education and entrepreneurship, creating a new paradigm for the industry.
Her influence extends internationally. As the Ambassador of the European WORTH Project in Greece, she actively fosters sustainable and innovative fashion collaborations across Europe. She has also led global incubator programs, including “Grow Sustainable in Portugal”, supported by the Portuguese Embassy, and a Co-Incubation Programme with the Dutch Embassy, further strengthening cross-border innovation in fashion-tech and sustainability.

She is the Executive Producer and Host of the “Fashion Fly TV Show”, where she showcases creative industries, fashion entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge industry innovations.
